Since 1999 some 4,000 beds have been developed in locations as diverse as Liverpool, Preston, Huddersfield and Bradford with a gross development value (as 2005) in the order of £200m. The team's sphere of influence is continually increasing with schemes completed in Manchester, Sheffield, Stirling and Dundee and others being pursued across the UK.
Whilst the team's core business remains the development of purpose-built student apartment schemes, it will undertake private residential schemes where sites are partially appropriate for this use. A typical example is AQH Micklgate's proposal in Sheffield to contribute to the urban renewal of the St. Vincent's area, with an exciting apartment scheme aimed at first-time buyers, keyworkers and mature students.
